Enrolling at Witchbrook

You arrive in Mossport as a new student witch with an acceptance letter and your aunt's cottage on the outskirts — Shadbrook Cottage. Classes cost money, so you will need income beyond instant noodles. Fable, your cottage familiar, helps bridge studies and your bottom line.

You live and study with a coven at Witchbrook College under Professor Carlyle, your coven leader. She guides spell tuition and one-on-one casting lessons as you progress.

Witch business

Mossport townsfolk want goods and services only a witch can supply. College classes unlock what you can craft and deliver. Use your moped early on — or your broom once licensed — to fulfill orders across town.

Strong business relationships unlock perks and upgrades. Sunday markets let you stock a stall in town and deal directly with residents.

Classes & crafting

Pay tuition to learn new skills: complete assignments, unlock activities, and meet professors and covenmates. Early disciplines include tea, incense and salves; later you move into potion brewing, astrological divination, arcane rituals and more.

Assignments & credits

The college posts weekly assignments that send you into Mossport — talk to residents, research in the library, then apply what you learned. Completing work earns college merits for the campus shop and unlocks exams. Credits also accrue for exemplifying witchhood through side quests and helping around town.

Knowledge collection

Living in Mossport fills a knowledge collection — herbs, growth times, recipes and more unlock as you discover and practice. Early on you rely on library books (return them on time); later your own memorized knowledge carries more weight.

Exams & grades

Pass every exam in a grade to advance — unlocking new classes, spells, activities and parts of Mossport. Exam scores reflect how much relevant knowledge you have built up. Coven study groups run mock exams if you are unsure you are ready.

Spells

Your wand moves objects intuitively from the start — handy for furniture and heavy lifting. Each completed exam entitles you to a new spell from Professor Carlyle, from ingredient-tracking guidance to broom flight over the rooftops.

Wellbeing

Petting dogs, walks in nature and time with friends raise wellbeing; late nights and upsetting people lower it. The day's events tally at night. Higher wellbeing can mean better income, deals, gifts, relationships — and stronger exam performance.

Stories & free time

Each covenmate has bespoke storylines that unfold like mini visual novels as relationships deepen. Outside class: romance, fashion, interior design, clubs, cooking, gardening, festivals and more. Winter brings city-wide decorations — shops like Calico, Olive's, Caffeina and Harbour Homes dress their windows while you keep up studies and foraging.

Pip, a witch-mechanic in your coven, runs a workshop near the harbour — meshing magic with mechanical inventions.

Graduation

Advancing through college years opens new content, but many witches stay on as postgrads — finishing the knowledge collection, retaking exams for better grades and growing their business further.
